Lot Description

A set of four late Victorian silver open salts, each of circular form with fluted lower body, leading to an embossed border beneath a beaded wavy rim. Hallmarked Martin, Hall & Co (Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall), Sheffield 1891. Diameter measures 2 inches (5.2 cm), gross weight 5.8 ozt (180.6 grams).

In overall good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Each marked '5966' beneath the base. Maker's marks slightly rubbed and worn, other hallmarks clear and legible.
