An early twentieth century silver mounted tortoiseshell box, of oblong hinged form, the tortoiseshell lid inlaid with a foliate cartouche, opening to reveal a material lined interior, the whole raised upon four pad feet, hallmarked C & A, London 1919, width measures 4 1/8 inches (10.5 cm). Together with an oval plated bobbin stand, the faux tortoiseshell base with central ring handle and ten holders, raised upon four ball feet. (2).
