Lot Description

A small late Victorian silver bowl, of circular form with embossed foliate scrolls surrounding twin opposed vacant cartouches above a fluted lower body, raised upon a circular footed base. Hallmarked Army & Navy Cooperative Society Ltd (Frederick Bradford Macrea), London 1890. Diameter measuring 3 6/8 inches (9.9 cm), weight 3.5 ozt (109.9 grams).

In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The footed base is slightly distorted in shape causing the bowl to wobble. Gilding to the interior appears quite dull in appearance. Hallmarks clear and legible.
