Lot Description

A late Victorian silver vesta case, of oblong cushion form with engraved foliate motifs surrounding a monogrammed shield cartouche, hallmarked Minshull & Latimer, Birmingham 1900, width measures 4.2 cm. Together with an Edwardian silver vesta case, of oblong rounded form, similarly decorated with vacant corner shield cartouche, hallmarked Birmingham 1907, plus a George V silver pill box, of plain oval hinged form with inset interior mirror, hallmarked Birmingham 1916. Gross weight 1.9 ozt (60.9 grams). (3).

In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The 1907 vesta case is slightly dented along the edge. The pill box has an inset interior mirror to the hinged lid which appears quite dirty. Hallmarks clear and legible.
