The snuff box has significant splits and holes to the base and lid, requires repair and attention, the decoration is significantly worn with loss of definition, the silver appears to have 'bubbled' to the interior, marked with probable Dutch assay marks including a possible date letter for 1844 and a possible maker's mark of 'CM over 78'?. Majority of hallmarks clear and legible.
