Lot Description

A French silver-gilt child's rattle, of spherical form with engraved banded decoration surrounding a vacant cartouche, with whistle, suspension bells (two missing) and mother-of-pearl handle. Marked with the boar guarantee mark alongside a possible bigorne mark. Length measuring 6 5/8 inches (17 cm).

In fair condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The spherical body is missing two of its suspension bells. Marked with the boar guarantee mark alongside a possible bigorne mark.
