Lot Description

A mid-twentieth century silver pedestal dish, the plain circular form with applied scroll and shell rim border, raised upon a stepped circular base. Hallmarked Mappin & Webb Ltd., Sheffield 1956. Diameter measures 9 1/2 inches (24.3 cm), weight 10.9 ozt (341.7 grams).

Condition Report

In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor loss of definition to the applied border. Some sticky residue to the underside. Hallmarks clear and legible, further marked Mappin & Webb Ltd London & Sheffield beneath the base.
