Lot Description

A small selection of flatware to include a 1920's cased set of six silver coffee spoons, each with a black bean terminal, hallmarked Mappin & Webb Ltd., Sheffield 1927. Together with an Edwardian plain silver spoon, hallmarked London 1905, a 1920's silver spoon with name engraved pointed terminal, hallmarked Birmingham 1925, a modern cased souvenir spoon commemorating the Queen's silver jubilee, plus four silver teaspoons, one with a bird terminal and bowl engraved 'Liverpool'. Gross weight 5.5 ozt (172.2 grams).

In overall good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The fitted case of the coffee bean spoons has some minor scuffs and marks. The bowl of the Edwardian spoon is slightly pinched on either side with some compression visible from the heel. The 1920's spoon is engraved 'Mary' to the terminal. The commemorative spoon has '1952-1977 silver jubilee' to the terminal surrounding a profile of the Queen's head. Hallmarks clear and legible.
