An 18ct gold opal and diamond brooch. Of bi-colour design, the scattered brilliant-cut diamond accent dragonfly, with textured wings and articulated tail, holding an oval opal cabochon collet. Estimated dimensions of opal 17.5 by 8.5mms. Estimated total diamond weight 0.70ct. Hallmarks for London, 1990. Length 8.8cms. Weight 32.3gms.

<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>

<li>Opal has a blue body colour and translucent appearance, with good play of colour showing predominantly purple, blue and green flashes.<p>
