Lot Description
An early 20th century gold Sri Lankan sapphire, diamond and enamel brooch. Of openwork design, the cushion-shape sapphire collet, with rose-cut diamond and white enamel overlapping crescent surround and single-cut diamond quatrefoil accent. With report 78135-34, dated 18th of December 2017, from GCS, stating Sri Lanka (Ceylon), no heat, estimated 10.70cts. Length 3.1cms. Weight 9.3gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Diamonds fairly well matched.
<li>Diamonds fairly bright.<p>
<li>Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.<p>
<li>Individual size and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate carat weight, colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Sapphire is in good condition with minor surface abrasions.<p>
<li>Enamel is in good to fair condition, one section with noticeable surface chips and another section with small, shallow chip.
