Lot 1028

Lot Description

A 1920's silver hip flask, of rounded square form with engine turned line decoration throughout, the circular flat hinged lid with bayonet style closing. Hallmarked Henry Matthews, Birmingham 1929. Maximum height measuring 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm), gross weight 3.48 ozt (108.5 grams).

Postage: Postable

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

Appears quite tarnished and would benefit from a clean and polish. Displaying general surface wear, marks, scratches and nicks. Heavier wear around edges and corners and a few surface dints, mainly to corners. Visible seam line. Hinged lid appears in good working order, missing pellet on neck so the bayonet locking does not work and it does not close securely. Hallmarks partly rubbed but still legible.
