Lot Description
A mid-nineteenth century Russian silver and niello snuff box, of rounded rectangular form and decorated with foliate scrolls throughout, with hinged lid opening to a silver-gilt interior and Assay mark dated 1862, alongside city mark for Moscow and Imperial (Royal) Warrant mark, length 8.3 cm, weight 99.6 grams. Together with a small pierced circular box with modern import marks and a small mesh purse marked 'sterling' to mount. (3).
