An Edwardian silver mounted pin cushion in the form of a hatching chick, with realistic feather decoration. Hallmarked Sampson Mordan & Co Ltd., Chester 1907. Height measuring 1 3/4 inches (4.5 cm).

Displaying some tarnishing and surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. A few minor surface dints and bumps and a larger dint to breast. Some rubbing and slight loss of surface detail to areas of the decoration. Cushion material threadbare and faded with losses. Hallmarks a little rubbed but legible, also registered number 475678.
