Lot Description

A 1930's silver twin-handled pedestal bowl, the rectangular canted edged body with scroll handles and pierced stylised foliate design, with a frosted glass liner, hallmarked K & L, Birmingham 1933, length including handles measuring 7 1/2 inches (19 cm). Together with a cream jug of panel-sided form with scroll handle, upon circular scalloped stepped foot, with engraved initial 'R' to one panel, hallmarked Sibray, Hall & Co Ltd., Sheffield 1910, plus a set of twelve silver teaspoons, hallmarked Harrison Brothers & Howson, Sheffield 1919. Total silver weight 17.64 (548.8 grams).

In overall fair to good condition, all the pieces in the lot displaying general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Some tarnishing, especially to the cream jug. Visible seam lines to jug, interior likely gilded but now faded. Some slightly heavier wear around edges of spoon bowls but they have generally faired well, faded gilding? Hallmarks mostly clear and legible.
