A mid-twentieth century silver mounted table cigarette box, of rectangular form having engine turned decoration to the whole, with central vacant cartouche to body, the hinged lid with raised foliate border to rim and applied central lion crest opening to reveal a wood lined interior, raised upon four pad feet. Hallmarked Birmingham 1964, maker's mark probably John Rose. Length 8 1/4 inches (21cm), gross weight 21.38 ozt (665.3 grams).
