Lot Description

A  predominately nineteenth century King's pattern part canteen, comprising twelve each of table spoons, table forks, dessert forks, dessert spoons and teaspoons, plus a soup ladle, two basting spoons, a fish slice and two sauce ladles, together with a carving set, twenty table knives, some matched, eight dessert knives, etc., canteen with various dates and maker's marks but mainly hallmarked Philip Weekes, Dublin 1832. Together with ten other teaspoons, five examples hallmarked Robert Williams & Sons, Exeter 1848, four hallmarked H J Lias & Son, London 1868, one other hallmarked Robert Wallis, London 1845. Gross approximate weight (excluding knives, carving set and serving fork) 178.75 ozt (5560 grams).
