Lot Description
An early Victorian silver vinaigrette by Nathaniel Mills, the shaped rectangular form with engine turned decoration throughout, the hinged lid centrally engraved with initialled and scrolled cartouche and opening to a silver-gilt interior with foliate pierced grille. Hallmarked Birmingham 1845, Length measuring 3 cm, weight 10.1 grams.

Condition Report
Appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some surface wear, marks and scratches and nicks commensurate with the age and use. Slightly heavier wear around edges and corners and a slight shallow dint to the base. Rubbing and some slight loss of detail to areas of the decoration. Both hinges appear in good working order. Lid rises very slightly on one side when closed. Interior quite dirty and stained. Hallmarks rubbed but legible.
