Lot Description
Six pairs of George III silver sugar tongs, all with bright cut engraved decoration, some initial or monogram engraved, four with hallmarks for London (assumed) 1792, 1794, 1795 and 1805, two pairs without date letters, various maker's marks. Together with a further similar unmarked pair of sugar tongs. Hallmarked silver weight 6.11 ozt (190 grams). (7).

Condition Report
In mixed condition, some pairs in a fairly tired state. All displaying some tarnishing and general surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with their age and use. Some out of alignment. Significant heavier surface wear to some of the bowl grips, including edge splits and repairs to two. Hallmarks rubbed but mostly still legible. The unmarked tongs with heavy repairs and reinforcement pieces added to curved section.
