An Edwardian silver cigarette case, of oblong form with bright cut engraved decoration depicting stylised leaves, and applied monogrammed cartouche to cover, opening to reveal a silver-gilt interior, hallmarked Joseph Gloster Ltd, Birmingham 1908. Together with two other examples, each with engine turned decoration and engraved monogram to cover, the first larger example hallmarked E J Houlston, Birmingham 1921, the second G F Westwood & Sons, Birmingham 1922, plus a further silver case, hallmarked Birmingham 1916. Gross weight 13.90 ozt (432.6 grams).

Condition Report
The first example tarnished, worn with scratches, knocks and dents. Applied cartouche coming away from cover. Interior scratched and gilding worn and flaking in places. Distortion to case visible when open.
The second largest example with light wear, including tarnishing, and flaking and wear to gilding.
Third example worn, with scratches, dents and some distortion. Gilded interior worn.
Silver case with scratches, dents and knocks, edges worn.
