A George IV silver gilt box, of rectangular form with flat chased foliate decoration to the whole, having rose gold edge border, and rose gold engraved cartouche to the hinged cover, opening to reveal a gilt interior. Hallmarked London 1824, maker's mark rubbed. Length 3 3/4 inches (9.5cm), weight 5.69 ozt (177.2 grams).
