Lot Description

A pair of late Victorian silver miniature kitchen pepper pots, each of cylindrical form with bun top, hallmarked Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd, Chester 1895, height measuring 1 1/2 inches (3.8 cm). Together with further condiments to include novelty cat and owl salt and pepper pots, London 1987, a Victorian silver open salt, a pair of Edwardian silver mounted and glass open salts and pair of salt spoons, plus two further modern pairs of small salt and pepper pots. Gross weighable silver 4.39 ozt (136.8 grams).

All pieces displaying general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Surface dints and bumps to some pieces, particularly the pair of kitchen peppers. Hallmarks rubbed but mostly legible.
