An early George III silver chocolate or hot water pot, of plain bellied form to a footed base and wicker mounted handle, the hinged lid with gadroon rim and flame finial. Hallmarked London 1766 with maker's mark 'W.T'. Height including finial 7 1/2 inches (19 cm), gross weight 9.82 ozt (305.4 grams).

Condition Report
Displaying general tarnishing and surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. Some minor surface dints and bumps. Hinged lid appears in working order and closes flush. Repairs to the gadroon rim with floods of silver visible. Possible repairs around hinge and finial is very pitted in appearance. Also seam line through base of handle join, further repair? Hallmarks located to the underside of the base, some rubbing but still clearly legible.
