Lot Description

A pair of late Victorian silver mounted candlesticks, each with filled square stepped base with beaded detail rising to a reeded column with Corinthian capital and removable beaded nozzle, (a/f). Hallmarked Alexander Clark, Sheffield 1896. Height 6.5" (16.5cm).

With scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.

Knocks and damage to edges of bases, and filled bases loose. Steps to bases and beaded detail with knocks and with a number of splits and losses to corners.

Corinthian detail to columns worn to high points.

One nozzle lacking central cylindrical fixture, and so can not be attached to candlestick. Other nozzle dented and misshapen, and does not fit properly.
