Lot Description

A small oval box, possibly Dutch, the hinged lid with reeded sides and figurative scene in relief, struck twice with single sword mark with four further marks to base, length 4.3cm. Together with a small French silver and blue enamel circular hinged box, with boar guarantee mark and maker's mark, diameter 4cm. Gross weight 73.8 grams. (2).

Both with some heavy tarnishing throughout and would benefit from a clean and polish.

Both displaying some expected surface wear, marks and scratches consistent with their age and use. Also some minor edge nicks/dints.

Hinged lids appear in good working order.

French box with several chips and losses to the enamel. Marked to the reverse of lid and the interior base.

Other box with some surface rubbing and wear to the raised decoration causing slight loss of detail to some areas. Sword mark struck to one side of lid and repeated to interior base. Four further marks struck to underside of base.
