Lot Description

A large Florence Barlow for Doulton Lambeth stoneware ewer, the body of ovoid form with tall neck and frilled rim, and curved foliate detailed, scroll capped handle, the whole with relief and tubelined foliate decoration in blues and brown, with impressed marks to base, Doulton Lambeth England, monogram for Florence Barlow and numbered 340, 31.25" (79.5cm) high.

Condition Report

Some small losses and chips to relief decoration to handle, handle with a number of splits and cracks, has be crudely repaired in places, signs of glue and possible overpainting when inspected with a UV light. Further wear, scratches, some small losses to decoration, some cracks to the glaze at base.
