Lot Description

A late Victorian silver combination cigar cutter and vesta case, of tapering form with engraved monogram and hinge opening cover to the silver-gilt compartment, hallmarked London 1886, maker's mark worn and indistinct. Together with a silver pill box of plain circular form, hallmarked S Blanckensee & Son Ltd, Birmingham 1935, a cased set of six Albany pattern silver coffee spoons, hallmarked James Deakin & Sons, Sheffield 1900/1901, two early twentieth century mother of pearl fruit knives with silver blades, plus a silver pickle fork and silver knife, both with mother of pearl handles. Cigar cutter with a number of knocks and indentations throughout.

Pill box lip to cover and hinges with visible solder repairs, plus a number of knocks to edges.

Fruit knives with knocks to blades.

Hallmarks to pickle form and knife heavily worn and indistinct. Knife blade has been detached from handle, crudely reglued and is now at an angle. Form has also been broken at ferrule and crudely repaired, fork prongs also bent. Mother of pearl handles to both with losses.
