Lot Description

An Georgian silver gilt child's rattle, of knopped form with whistle and suspension bells, the whole with engraved foliate decoration and monogramed panel to whistle. Indistinct maker's mark to whistle, only lion passant and monarch head visible to other end. Length 4.5" (11.5cm), gross weight 1.62 ozt (50.4 grams).

Some small indentations and knocks.

Wear to gilding.

One bell missing.

End of rattle appears to have been reduced, and date letter not visible. Possibly missing a teether.
