Lot Description
A Russian silver mounted miniature picture or icon, decorated in relief and depicting St. George slaying the Dragon. Struck to lower corner with the second Kokoshnik import mark (1908-1926), Moscow, 84 standard with further mark below. Measuring 4.3cm by 4.8cm.

Condition Report
Displaying some general expected surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing.
A few dints and bumps, particularly around the edge of mount with some splits at the corners.
Decoration to the front with some surface wear but still fairly crisp and bright. Pierced areas at the face, arm and other hand reveal painted features behind with some crazing to surface.
Assay marks to corner are clear and legible. Mark below is probably a maker's mark, possibly 'c r'
Material back worn and faded.
