Lot Description
A late Victorian silver combination sovereign holder and vesta case, of plain oblong form with engraved monogram and suspension ring press release, opening to reveal an engine turned sprung platform holder for a full sovereign, and hinged cover with striker to the opposing end, hallmarked A & J Zimmerman Ltd, Birmingham 1896, length 3.5" (9cm). Together with an Edwardian silver stamp case, modelled as an envelope with engraved foliate decoration to the whole, hallmarked Sydney & Co, Chester 1906, plus a silver thimble, hallmarked Birmingham 1928, etc. Gross weighable silver 2.04 ozt (63.6 grams).

Condition Report
With scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.
Sovereign holder with some small knocks, pitting and nicks. Press release button worn, whilst it does operate mechanism is slow and requires assistance. Sovereign holder worn and with some lifting to edges containing platform.
Stamp case with a number of knocks resulting in some compression, and some nicks throughout.
Thimble with wear to decoration, and body compressed and misshapen. Maker's mark worn and indistinct.
Lot also contains an unmarked ring.
