A turn of the century import silver-gilt box, the oval form with raised borders or trailing bluebells to the lid and base, enclosing genre scenes depicting couples, with further floral and foliate scrollwork to sides and opening to a silver-gilt interior with 'Christmas 1902' engraved to reverse of lid. Hallmarked Elly Isaac Miller, London 1901 alongside the Foreign mark, further Hanau psuedo-marks to lid possibly for Neresheimer. Length 4" (10cm), weight 5.18 ozt (161 grams).

Condition Report
Displaying general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor surface dints and bumps.
Gilding faded.
Some surface wear and rubbing to areas of the decoration, especially the raised parts, with some loss of detail or definition.
Hinged lid appears in working order although there is some slight movement.
Gilding to interior appears bright.
Hallmarks to base clear and legible with part marks repeated to lid. Hanau marks partly distorted.
