A late 19th century continental silver casket, of bombe form with swing handle to the hinged lid, and raised upon four zoomorphic feet modelled as the heads of fish, the body and cover with embossed pastoral genre scenes contained within scrolling foliate surrounds. Hallmarked Louis Landsberg, London import 1891, with the Foreign mark, further marks to underside including Dutch lion rampant and key export mark. Height 2.75" (7cm), weight 6.33 ozt (197 grams).
