A fine 19th century carved ivory oval panel, depicting Venus in a chariot drawn by dolphins with accompanying naked female and male figures, mounted and inset upon a green marble panel of recessed rectangular form, with later frame, with applied paper label verso detailed Clara Peck Caulfield Estate S.EL Molino Avenue, Pasadena, ivory panel 4" x 9" (10cm x 22.75cm) backing marble panel, 7.25" x 12.25" (8.25cm x 31cm).
