A 19th century tortoiseshell veneered jewellery box, the hinged opening cover with pierced shell and scroll silver mounts, hallmarked Chester 1893, lifting to reveal a green velvet and green fabric lined vacant interior, 7.75" x 2.25" (19.5cm x 5.5cm) high.
