Lot Description

An early 20th century 15ct gold ruby and split pearl pendant.
May be worn as a brooch.

Stamped 15Ct. Length 5cms. 6.1gms.

<li>Small area of acid discolouration to the reverse.

<li>The rubies are in closed back settings, possibly foil back and appear a pinkish red to medium slightly purplish red.<p>

<li>The split pearls are a well matched creamy body hue with pinkish overtones. Some with surface wear.<p>

<li>The mount testing as approximately 15ct gold. The pin as 10ct gold.

<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
