Full Lot Description
A late Victorian silver three piece bachelor tea set, comprising teapot, twin-handled sugar bowl and a cream jug, each of curved rectangular form with reeded rim and gadroon decoration to lower body, the hinged teapot lid also gadrooned, with angular handles, including stained wood teapot handle, and each raised on four ball feet. In a velvet lined fitted case. Hallmarked Horace Woodward & Co (Edgar Finley & Hugh Taylor), London 1891. Maximum length of teapot 7.75" (19.5cm), gross weight 17.08 ozt (531.5 grams).

Condition Report
<li>Tea set appears in good overall condition.
<li>Displaying some general light surface wear, marks and scratches, and tarnising to some areas.
<li>Hinged lid of teapot appears in good working order and closes flush.
<li>Finial is a little loose.
<li>Rubbing to some of the hallmarks but mostly clear and legible, including part hallmarks to lid.
<li>The faux silk and velvet interior lining of the case has faired quite well overall. Some thinner and more threadbare areas to the velvet around some of the edges.
<li>There is a place for a pair of tongs but none present.
<li>The lining on the exterior with losses and scuffs to many areas and showing the wood beneath.
