Full Lot Description

A modern silver King's pattern part canteen for twelve place settings, comprising table and dessert forks, tea, coffee, soup and dessert spoons, table and dessert knives, four table spoons, three cake slice knives and six fruit embossed fruit and salad servers, the knives and cake slices with steel blades, all hallmarked Carr's of Sheffield, 1994. All within a stained teak case, fitted with carry handles and three pull out drawers. Approximate silver weight, excluding knives and cake slices, 177.18 ozt (5511 grams). Together with three further silver table spoons, hallmarked Mappin & Webb Ltd, Sheffield 1997, weight 7.69 ozt (239.4 grams).

<li>Multiple item lot in mixed condition, all pieces displaying general surface wear, tarnishing, marks and scratches. Heavier damage to some pieces.

 

<li>Dark tarnishing especially evident to upper fork tines.

 

<li>Staining especially evident to spoon bowls.

 

<li>Items would benefit from a good clean and polish.

 

<li>Three drawer case is in good working order and fair condition, showing some surface marks, scratching to brass detail and minor white stains.
