An Indian Colonial silver mounted tea caddy, modelled as an Indian tea chest, of square form with metal corner brackets and rivets, the hinged lid with presentation engraving and opening to a wood lined interior, in original box. Hallmarks for Hamilton & Co (Calcutta). Measuring 4.5" (11.5cm) square, and height 5.75" (14.5cm).

<li>Presentation engraving reads, 'Presented to Mr G.W. Maycock on his retirement by his friends in Gillanders Arbuthnot & Co. Ltd and The King Wiliam House Group February 1967'
<li>Appears in fairly good overall condition.
<li>Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing.
<li>Some heavier tarnishing, dirt and staining to some areas.
<li>Slightly heavier wear around some edges and corners.
<li>Hallmarks located to one side around the base edge, these a little rubbed and distorted.
<li>In original box marked Hamiltons; with general surface wear and some losses/tears, especially to edges and corners; large section broken off but still present.
