Full Lot Description
A George IV silver vinaigrette, the rounded rectangular form with reeded sides and engine-turned decoration to base and hinged lid, the lid also with initial engraved central circular panel, and floral chased thumb-piece opening to a gilt interior and removable floral engraved grille (unmarked). Hallmarked London 1827, with maker's mark W.E, possibly William Edwards. Length 2.25" (6cm), gross weight 1.59 ozt (49.7 grams).

<li>Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with age and use.
<li>Some slightly heavier wear around edges and corners with some minor surface nicks and dints.
<li>Surface wear and rubbing to the decoration with slight loss of detail to some areas.
<li>Slight damage near to hinge on one side with minor crack and losses.
<li>Hinges appear in good working order and lid closes securely.
<li>Gilt interior with some general surface wear and scratched marks; appears fairly bright.
<li>Hallmarks located to interior base and reverse of lid; these all clear and legible with minor rubbing mainly to edge of one maker's mark.
<li>Removable gilt grille with some tarnishing and dirt/sticker residues; appears unmarked.
