Full Lot Description
A late Victorian silver vinaigrette, the rectangular form with raised floral chased borders enclosing engine-turned decoration, the hinged lid with initial and date engraved circular panel to centre, and opening to a silver-gilt interior with foliate-scroll pierced grille. Hallmarked Maurice Freeman, Chester 1900. Length 4cm, gross weight 42 grams.

<li>Appears in fairly good overall condition.
<li>Displaying some general light surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing.
<li>Minor surface wear and rubbing to areas of the decoration with slight loss of detail to some areas.
<li>Appears to be slight damage to hinge pin on one side, but hinges in good working order and lid closes securely, however there is a very slight overhang on one side.
<li>Hinged grille also appears in good working order.
<li>Some scratched numbers and marks visible to reverse of lid and grille.
<li>Hallmarks located to interior base with part marks to reverse of grille and exterior rim of lid; some slight distortion but mostly clear and legible, part of the maker's mark on the grille is cut off in the pierced decoration.
