A 1930's silver and enamel compact, having blue guilloche enamel border to central scene of a kingfisher in flight, hallmarked Henry Clifford Davis, Birmingham 1937, plus a mid-20th century example, the white guilloche enamel to hinged lid decorated with a sprig of flowers, hallmarked Crisford & Norris Ltd, Birmingham 1957. Together with a 1920's silver-gilt and blue enamel cased powder brush, the push action and screw lid revealing brush, hallmarked Stockwell & Co (George Stockwell), London import 1926, Patent no. 255391. Diameter of 1930's example 2.75" (7.2cm).
