An early 20th century 15ct gold amethyst, peridot, pearl and split pearl pendant.

Principal amethyst calculated weight 4.17cts, based on estimated dimensions of 10.5 by 7.3mms.
Length 5.5cms. 6.1gms.
Pearls untested for natural origin.

 

This piece displays the colours commonly associated with the Suffragette movement.

<li>Slight soft solder visible to the back of the surmount loop.
<li>Acid discolouration to the reverse.
<li>Pearls untested for natural origin.
<li>Pearls appear fairly well matched, varied lustre and overtones.
<li>Estimated diameter 3.7 and 3.8mms.
<li>Amethyst are a light medium to deep slightly pinkish purple. Minimal abrasions.
<li>Peridot is a bright, yellowy green. Facet edge abrasions.
<li>Electronically tests as approximately 15ct gold.
