An early 20th century Japanese Meiji / Taisho period Satsuma vase of inverted baluster form with a squat collar neck decorated with two cartouche panels, the first with robed figures in conversation, the reverse with ladies and children in a landscape, all to a blue ground with a gilt pattern overlay, red and gold two character mark, height 17cm
