Full Lot Description
Two George III silver cream jugs, the first with scalloped rim, of plain pedestal form with looped handle, the domed foot upon square base, hallmarked London 1793, maker's mark possibly Joseph Preedy, the second with beaded border to rim and foot, of tapered, slim design, hallmarked Charles Chesterman II, London 1786. Height of example with beaded border 15.5cm, overall weight 10.3ozt (215.6g). (2).

Condition Report
- Example with scalloped rim is in fair condition, in consideration of age and use, showing some general but light surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.
- Silver to scalloped rim central body is slightly bumpy, especially below spout, visible on closer inspection. This is evident to interior of central body, which appears almost planished.
- Central body also displays minor surface nicks and dints.
- Silver gauge to central body is quite thin.
- Area round handle joins shows some polish residue.
- Scalloped area around top handle join shows some minor repairs to splits.
- Item has a very slight wobble to base.
- Hallmarks are clear and legible.
- Example with beaded decoration is in fair condition, in consideration of age and use, showing some general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.
- Surface to central body of beaded example, especially lower body and below spout, is bumpy and uneven, with small dints and bashes.
- Lower body to beaded example, roughly below spout, shows two larger dents.
- Bashes and dents are visible to gilt interior.
- Beaded example wobbles on flat surface when pressure is applied.
- Beaded rim shows thick polish residue to recesses. Lower handle also shows some polish residue.
- Beneath spout there is a dark area of tarnishing. Interior spout is also darkly tarnished.
- Hallmarks are clear and legible.
