A 19th century oval oil on canvas half portrait of a woman, her head half turned, dressed in a dark green robe over mustard dress and chemise, unsigned, image size 74cm x 62cm
Bears paper label verso - 'Daughter of Maurice Bockland by his first wide Joan *en*uddock (whose father was beheaded for the King's cause, whose miniature we have & whose monument is in the Chapel in the park). She left the inlaid clock at Trafalgar, token nephew or godson, Henry Eyre of Brickworth on his marriage. Her favourite book 'England's Black Tribunal' and her mother's Bible are... Trafalgar House.'
