A pair of Victorian Irish silver table spoons, in plain Fiddle pattern with rat-tail to heel. Hallmarked John Smyth, Dublin 1853, and further impressed with retailer Gilbert & Son. Weight 4.47ozt (139g).

- Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
- Bowls showing some heavier wear, especially around the edges and tip.
- One bowl with more notable dints, bumps and surface generally appearing a bit lumpy.
- Some slight loss of definition to the rat-tails.
- Hallmarks located to reverse of terminals, and these clear and legible.
