Full Lot Description
A late George III silver-gilt snuff box, the rounded rectangular form with engine-turned base and sides, and hinged lid having raised tavern scene within floral scroll border. Hallmarked John Linnit, London 1815. Length 7.5cm, weight 4.07ozt (126.6g).

Condition Report
- Appears in fairly good overall condition.
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
- With some slightly heavier wear around edges and corners, including minor nicks.
- Some very slight dints visible to the inside of the lid.
- Hinges appear in good working order and closes securely.
- Surface wear and rubbing to areas of the raised decoration, causing some slight loss of detail or definition.
- The gilding has also faded a little to some of these raised areas, and around the edges.
- Hallmarks located inside and these all clear and legible, with some minor rubbing.
