A mid-Victorian silver snuff box, the scroll-edge rectangular form decorated with engine-turned panels, and hinged lid with presentation engraving within scrolled cartouche. Hallmarked Edward Smith, Birmingham 1853. Length 7cm, weight 3ozt (93.2g).
