  • Displaying some general surface wear and marks
  • Some fairly heavy tarnishing all over and quite dirty to the interior base, also residues of dried polish inside
  • With some surface scratches and nicks, and minor dints
  • Heavier wear and scuffs around edges and corners, including slight bashes to some corners
  • Surface wear and rubbing to areas of the decoration on all sides and to the lid, causing some loss of detail or definition
  • Slight damage to hinges on one side, however appears in good working order and closes securely; rises up very slightly when closed
  • Interior gilded and faded a little
  • Hallmarks located to one side of the box and to the flange of the lid, and these all clear and legible
  • Two further marks to flange on lid, these very distorted but probably Hanau psuedo-marks
