Full Lot Description
A Victorian silver singular candlestick, the scroll edge circular base rising to a knopped stem and vase shape socket with detachable nozzle, decorated with foliate and scroll detail throughout. Hallmarked Creswick & Co (Thomas, James & Nathaniel Creswick), Sheffield 1851. Height 25.5cm. (filled).

Condition Report
- Appears quite dirty and heavily tarnished all over, and in need of a clean
- With minor surface nicks and little dints, including around edges
- Slight knocks around the rim of the socket, and also to one side of the nozzle so that it slopes a little
- Surface wear and rubbing to areas of the raised decoration, causing slight loss of detail or definition to some areas
- Residues of dried polish to some crevices
- Further remnants or residues inside the socket and on the nozzle
- Hallmarks located to edge of base and fully repeated on the nozzle, these all clear and legible with minor rubbing
