Full Lot Description
An Edwardian silver-gilt snuff box, of rounded rectangular form with engine-turned panels and central hinge opening, the top with applied monogram to a circular panel. Hallmarked Andrew Barrett & Sons, London 1902. Measuring 9cm by 6.5cm, weight 4.12ozt (128.2g).

Condition Report
- Box appears in good overall condition, displaying some general light surface wear, marks and scratches
- Some patches of tarnishing and a little blackening to some areas and crevices
- Some minor surface nicks and light bruises, mainly around edges and corners
- Hinges appear in good working; box closes securely however it does rise up again slightly when closed leaving a slight gap
- Some heavier tarnishing and stained marks to the interior
- Hallmarks located to the inner rim and to the exterior edge just below the thumb-piece, mostly clear and legible, maker's mark to inner rim appears over-stamped and a little rubbed on one end, hallmarks on the outer edge are partly clipped
